Ugh, flooring! The reason we had to remove the underlayment for the vinyl is because the entire main floor is all going to be the same now. When you have vinyl that meets carpeting or hardwood, the floor under the vinyl has to be raised up so the floors are even, so there's an underlayment floor on top of the subfloor in those areas. When you remove the carpeting and hardwood, the floor with the vinyl will be higher, so to use laminant all throughout the house means we had to remove the raised portions. Yes, a HUGE hassle! When I did my master bathroom in laminant, I didn't care if there was a slight step up from the bedroom (carpeted), as I thought it made a nice transition, so I layed the laminant right over the underlayment floor. Not so in the case of our living area, unfortunately. And, as expected, I am in much pain this morning -- not looking forward to more hard manual labor today.

Hello--thanks for the photo printin' offer but I think mine will work, I just need to get around to making the copies! Then I'm going to glue one of each on construction paper and make cards to send. Real classy, eh? What the hey--they already know I'm cheap! :P

Hello there--I am not trying to ignore you--I have just been lazy and putting all things on hold! Ha--so what's new, right? I am usually free to party on M-W-F, but it changes at random, from week to week. Depends on what the hubby does--I like to have my free days while he's at his job. I'm sorry about your dear old head a-hurtin' you! Smooches--Love, twitter :)

Your comment in my diary about the cost of house cleaning was probably correct ... it shouldn't cost $200, but seriously, I can't imagine it wouldn't. You should see how bad this house is right now. Ack. And I meant to write earlier and tell you I hope you're doing okay with your grandma being sick. You seem very close to her, and it must be hard to not be able to do anything. She certainly must know how lucky she is that you care so much about her.

I meant to add that if you give me your bookcrossing name I'll add you to my friends there.

Hey, you worked hard for so long that you are entitled to sitting around for a little. Once you get over that stange of being home, you'll find the motivation to get to that "to do" list. But a big key is never turning on the tv and I'm a huge fan of checklists.

Thanks for the ADD/ADHD info. I don't know, in the past year or so I've had all these adult friends/relatives decide they were ADD, to the point that I've been thinking, oh come on, not you TOO! So I didn't know there was any stigma attached, but I suppose anything, as a kid, that makes you different or need special things, might be not a good thing, in their eyes. I tell you, though, dealing with it, whether through medication or whatever, has GOT to be better than the frustrations of living with it blindly. How old was your boy when diagnosed?

Ooh! Altered book class! I'm jealous! Oh and thanks for the reminder (not that you did it on purpose) that I'm "IT". I better get cracking with your card!

Poor Grandma! I hope she's feeling comfortable and gets back to her independent lifestyle soon. I'll be sending prayers for her.

I'm glad you got your grandmother settled. It's a good feeling, even if a tired one, isn't it?
