Belated birthday wishes! Hope it was a good one. I agree about the $700 DC trip. Most especially if he doesn't really care about going!! Thanks for the comments when my uncle passed. They helped. :) My cousin and I almost went ahead and did an obituary for my uncle, but then I felt bad that my mother and aunts would feel bad that I did that, and I didn't want anyone else feeling bad. So, I'm going to do an online obit probably, that nobody from the family will ever know is there, but that anyone searching will find archived. That's on my list for September!

oh, this is funny. first of all i've been leaving you comments and noticed that they were deleted, which i thought was odd, but okay. then today i realize that your comments don't work anymore! oi! anyway, you hit it on the head about the fear of losing weight and looking bad. loose skin and saggy face and whatever other horrors. i am right there with you. also, not long ago i saw these before and after weight loss photos and the woman definitely was cuter when she was fat. granted, that's not typically the case, but it did nothing to make me feel better. one more thing, i'm very much enjoying reading this journey you're on. i heavily (haha) identify.

Lease and I slept in late this morning, and whenever we do that I always have a bunch of vivid, bizarre dreams. I know I did this morning, too, but I can't remember what any of them were about right now. Isn't that the way it always is?
